The Ruger® AR-556® MPR Semi-Auto Rifle in .450 Bushmaster operates with direct-impingement and a carbine-length gas system. The bolt is machined from high-strength superalloy, significantly stronger than traditional MSR bolt materials, and engineered with tapered lugs to support the large case head of .450 Bushmaster ammunition. The flattop upper receiver features an enlarged ejection port to accommodate the .450 case, as well as forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector. The lower receiver comes equipped with a Magpul® MOE® pistol grip and a MOE SL™ 6-position, collapsible buttstock on the Mil-Spec buffer tube. Upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined from Mil-Spec forgings and Type III hard-coat anodized for maximum durability. A 15″ free-float, M-LOK® handguard features accessory attachment slots at 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 positions. The cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel comes with 5R rifling and black Nitride finish; a 1:16″ twist rate maximizes accuracy with bullets ranging from 170 to 260 grains. A Ruger radial-port flash suppressor is attached to the barrel with a 11/16″-24 thread, also optimized for the .450 Bushmaster cartridge. The Ruger AR-556 MPR Semi-Auto Rifle comes with one 5-round metal, detachable box magazine. Made in USA.
