For those times that Gun Control limits you and leaves you without your carry gun pick up a Cas Hanwei Knife, Sword, or Axe to tip the odds in your favor. Cas Hanwei designs and manufactures excellent blades that are beautiful, durable, useable, and collectable. Cas Hanwei has earned a solid reputation amongst those who know the blade industry for being a premier manufacturer of blade excellence. For military, law enforcement and even the Zombie Slayer in all of us Cas Hanwei has the right blade to make short work of the threat or task at hand. The Yari by Paul Chen was an essential battlefield weapon of the Samurai in feudal Japan and took great skill to use and maneuver, due to its length and size. This piece is modeled after the su-yari or "straight-spear" design. The blade is forged in T-10 high-carbon steel and is triangulated and double-edged with a deep fuller on the flat side of the blade. Differential tempering results in a clear hamon on each edge. The tangs are long to absorb the shock of a blow. The shaft (ebu) is finished in a textured black and has a flattened side at the bottom section for blade orientation. The one-piece staff construction reinforces the durability of the spear. This version features a long (16.75") blade.By the mid-1600s dueling was at the height of its popularity. In fact, this trend for settling affairs of honor with steel reached such heights that King Louis XIII of France outlawed dueling for fear of losing too many of his important dignitaries to this dangerous pursuit! Aristocratic noblemen saw it as their manly duty to defend their honor at sword-point, and as such began not only seeking out the knowledge and training imparted by specialist sword masters, but also exploring other types of weapons to help them gain a decisive edge. One particular sword began to gain popularity - a smaller, lighter and faster version of the Rapier that was easier to carry and quicker in combat. A precursor to what would eventually become the Smallsword referred to by many simply as the transitional rapier. Cold Steels interpretation of this blade (which is named the Cavalier Rapier) features a sharp double edged and needle tipped blade which is decidedly shorter and lighter than a classic Rapier, allowing for much more speed and agility. With a tempered steel pierced shell guard, rings, quillons and knuckle bow it offers astonishingly good hand protection, while its wire wrapped grip and counter balancing pommel give great comfort and liveliness in-hand.The Pendleton Custom Classic is a handsome reproduction of Lloyd Pendleton's Drop Point Hunter. This awesome hunter features a 3 1/2" blade with a sharp yet sturdy point for piercing and a truly razor sharp edge with plenty of belly. Its hand crafted polished blade is hollow ground from 5 mm thick VG-1 San Mai III stainless steel and boasts state of the art vacuum heat treatment, a sub zero quench and multiple tempering. With its tapered full tang construction and extra stout "spine" it's virtually indestructible and, in a pinch, can double as a life saving survival knife. Lloyd's guard and integral bolster have been exactly duplicated. Precision machined from stainless steel and skillfully polished, it features a single short quillion and a unique "thumb print" on the bolster to help protect the fingers and allow any number of grip options. The handle is also a faithful copy of Lloyd's original. Featuring a red fiber liner that accents the tapered tang, and twin contoured handle scales made of highly polished black linen micarta with six stainless retaining pins. A heavy pouch style sheath is included. It's made from brown cowhide with a thick welt and sturdy stitching and is wet molded to fit each knife. It covers two thirds of the handle so your knife is held secure and won't "pop out" inadvertently.
Hanwei continues to push the envelope with its forging capability in the Trondheim sword, Paul Chen produced this as a one piece forging in pattern-welded high-carbon steel. Patterned after swords that have been discovered in the area around Trodheim, Norway, the sword exhibits early ninth-century styling, a time when the Norwegian Vikings were pillaging Britain and Ireland. The beauty of the blade is matched by the grip and scabbard, both of which are wrapped in top-grain leather, engraved in a classic Viking motif. Specifications: - Overall: 30 - Blade Length: 24 - Weight: 2lb 7oz Key Features: - One-Piece Folded Blade-Guard-Pommel - Leather over wood core scabbard - Carved detail in handle and scabbard
The "Helmet Breaker" of old was an incredibly powerful off-hand parrying tool and percussive weapon used by Japanese Warriors. It was used to block, hook and parry an opponent's sword at longer ranges and to manipulate, wrench, and bludgeon at an opponent's armored head in standing/grappling range. Rumored to be capable of prying open armor like an oversized battlefield can opener, there's no doubt it is more than capable of denting helmets, crushing skulls or breaking bones with sickening ease. Its piercing point glides through armored targets with impressive ease, while the thick spine can be used to parry, deflect and turn even the heaviest of swords. Its stout upturned "hook" can be used as a guard to protect the hand, while also momentarily trapping and binding an opponent's blade. Painstakingly reproduced from an antique original in Steven Seagal's collection, the Helmet Breaker is made to Steven's personal specifications. Every inch of this unusual weapon is made to the highest standards, from the polished blade to the hand painted and distressed scabbard (which replicates Steven's battle worn antique original).
